On Saturday 18 November, members of the Leweston community came together and planted 210 saplings in the school grounds, as well as building and hanging bird houses.
The saplings will eventually form a hedgerow of hawthorn, dogwood, wild cherry, silver birch, rowan, and hazel to create a natural border of year-round colour.
This now lines the edge of the road behind the Sport Hall and will provide a natural border that will enclose our planned ‘Reflection Garden’. This event was the first phase of this exciting transformation.
Thank you to our army of volunteers, including Boarders, who gave up time to help, despite the muddy conditions!
