Retreat Days: Reflecting on Faith and Achievements at Leweston

The theme for both Year 13 and Year 11 Retreat Days last week was ‘Reflect and Connect’. The purpose of the day was for students to reflect on their time at Leweston, especially post mock exams, and look forward to the future.

‘Awake, awake alive’

Students started the day in the Chapel with Mrs Bruller, taking time to explore faith and the power of prayer. It provided opportunities for students to discuss the importance of building-in moments of quiet reflection into their daily life.

It also gave space for students to think about their time at Leweston, to celebrate their achievements and prepare for the road ahead. There was a music journaling art activity, and an exploration of ‘God in Music’ led by Dr Milestone. The weather even allowed for a muddy walk around the school grounds.

Finally, the day concluded in the Chapel with a prayer reflection on their success, the challenges ahead, and their hopes for the future. We want to thank the students who all embraced the opportunity to take time out of the school week, to pause and be.
