Remembrance Day at Leweston

Lest we forget.

The School came together this morning to pause and pay their respects during the Remembrance Service, followed by a two minute silence.

This week in PSHRE all students have been commemorating Remembrance Day. Within these lessons students have been creating their own poppy rocks that will be added to the 'Remembrance Garden Display' at Trinity Manor Care Home in Sherborne. This is a wonderful way to mark the occasion, support our community, educate the students, and it links closely to our own garden projects.

Furthermore, Sadie L Year 7 crocheted 65 poppy badges that she delivered to the residence of the care home. These were accepted by Trinity Manors Resident Ambassador Dr Valerie Marett.
We look forward to seeing the completed display tomorrow.

Prep 6 also spent time this week creating Remembrance inspired art, using a range of resources.
