Leweston School athletes shine at the National Schools Biathle, winning multiple medals across various age groups.
Congratulations to the entire Leweston School Biathle team for participating in the National Schools Biathle held at Leweston on Sunday, 18 May. The school was represented by 9 athletes across various age groups, from Year 3 to Year 10.
The Biathle consists of a continuous run-swim-run sequence, with distances varying by age. Participants begin with a run, transition by removing their shoes, dive into the pool for a swim, and then complete the same run again.
The event featured over 180 competitors from different schools, resulting in some thrilling and closely contested races throughout the day. A big thank you to all the competitors, as well as the officials and volunteers who helped organise the competition.
Leweston School celebrated a National Champion, Elena FL from Year 4. The school also secured three Silver medals with Elizabeth D in Year 5, and both Harry D and Lara P in Year 8. Additionally, Henry M from Year 7 earned a Bronze medal. The Year 7 boys' team proudly took home a Silver medal.

Year 4: Elena FL - 1st place.
Year 5: Elizabeth D - 2nd place, William M - 7th place.
Year 7: Henry M - 3rd place, Aidan K - 4th place, Danny B - 12th place, Team Silver.
Year 8: Harry D - 2nd place, Lara P - 2nd place, Sadie L - 4th place.
