Faith on Fire: Highlights from Flame 2025 Event

Flame is the largest Catholic youth event in England and Wales, bringing together 10,000 young Catholics from across the UK for a day of inspiration, worship, and community. Organised by the Catholic Youth Ministry Federation (CYMFed), on Saturday 15 March, a group of our students travelled with other young people from across the Plymouth Diocese to London for the event.

The day featured renowned speakers, including Bear Grylls, the keynote speaker, who shared his personal faith journey and introduced his new book, The Greatest Story Ever Told, offering a fresh perspective on the life of Jesus. (All attendees received a free copy!) Other inspirational speakers included Bryan Enriquez, co-founder of the Hallow app, who discussed the intersection of faith and technology, and Isaac Harvey, MBE, who shared his journey as a disability advocate and content creator.

The event also featured dynamic performances from Christian musicians, such as One Hope Project, fostering an atmosphere of praise and unity. Moments of prayer and adoration allowed participants to reflect and deepen their spiritual experience.

The central message of Flame 2025 was "Unstoppable: Fan the Flame of Hope." The event encouraged young people to embrace their faith with resilience, courage, and hope, even in the face of challenges, and to be "unstoppable" in their journey with Christ. Overall, our students returned feeling uplifted, motivated, and strengthened in their faith, their beliefs with confidence and hope. It was a truly unforgettable experience!
