Year 7 Girls Triumph at U12A In2Hockey County Tournament

On Tuesday 19 November, 10 girls from Year 7 headed off to Talbot Heath school to compete in the Girls U12A In2Hockey County Tournament. Riding on an impressive winning streak, the girls were determined to give their best performance. And they did just that, securing three decisive victories with scores of 1-0, 7-0, and 7-1, along with a 0-0 draw, showcasing their full commitment. The team kept their opponents on edge with swift passes and some aerial goals.

Lucia G was noted by the organisers as one to watch. Darcy N with the help of Tilly W, Annabel G, Izzy K and Bella F kept our goal score at an impressive 15 goals. Joanna FL didn’t see much action our goal end thanks to Mimi L who defended our half with some impressive push passes, almost scoring herself in one game. Aurelia P and Piper B provided crucial support in the D, making sure our wingers had time to create space.

We eagerly anticipate continuing their training into the next season as they gear up for the Regional tournament at Clifton College in the New Year.

A big thank you to Talbot Heath for hosting the competition.

Mrs Quick finishes saying ‘I’m incredibly proud of how well these girls are playing this season, it’s a big step up from Prep School and the team dynamics have changed as they continue to develop new skills and techniques. Well done!
