Leweston School athletes triumphed at the National Laser Run Championships, securing multiple titles and medals, including two national champions.
Over the weekend of September 13 to 15, Leweston School proudly saw 11 of its athletes compete in the National Schools Laser Run and National Open Laser Run held in Deeside, North Wales. The competitors participated in the age groups based on their school years from the previous academic year, as the qualifiers were determined during that period.
Our athletes achieved remarkable success. A huge congratulations to Elizabeth D (Prep 5) and Izzy K (Year 7) for being crowned National Champions! Additional congratulations to Henry M, Lara P, Katrina S, and William T for securing Bronze medals. The Prep 4 boys clinched Team Gold, while the Prep 6 boys proudly took home Team Bronze.

In the afternoon, the athletes transitioned to the National Open event, where they competed in slightly longer distance categories based on their age groups. The results were:
U11: Elizabeth D 3rd, William M 4th, William W 7th, Archie P 9th, Joe W 12th ,Team Silver
U13: Izzy K 1st , Lara P 3rd with team Gold
U13: Henry M 7th, Aidan K 11th, Danny B 12th , Team Bronze.
