STEM Army day at Leweston

Last Thursday we had a visit from an Army STEM Team, running two interactive workshops.

In the morning, Year 9 students designed, built and presented their rocket cars. They all did amazingly well, working brilliantly in their teams whilst considering all of the factors that go in to a successful rocket car.
In the afternoon, Year 7 focused on problem solving in a disaster relief scenario. Again, this built on their teamwork and problem solving skills in addition to their construction and programming of the robots.
All involved had a really exciting time. We would like to extend a big thank you to the STEM Army team for a memorable day.
