Leweston School is delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of its Year 13 students, Will T and Jessica C, who have received prestigious offers to study Medicine at leading universities.
Will T has secured an offer to study Medicine at the University of Exeter. With Medicine offer rates remaining incredibly competitive, this is a remarkable accomplishment. Will's success is a testament to his dedication and determination. In preparation for his application, he undertook extensive clinical work experience and secured a volunteering position, both of which were organised with the invaluable support of Leweston's Careers Advisor, Mrs Hutton. These experiences provided him with real-world examples to strengthen his personal statement and interviews. Will’s journey continues with further interviews at Cardiff and Birmingham Medical Schools, making him one to watch!
Jessica C has also excelled, receiving offers to study Medicine from Queen's University Belfast and Keele University. Demonstrating an impressive range of talents, Jessica is studying Chemistry, Biology, and Fine Art at A Level. Her pursuit of Fine Art alongside her scientific subjects highlights her creativity and well-rounded character, qualities that Medical Schools are increasingly recognising and valuing.
Leweston School is incredibly proud of Will and Jessica for their dedication and hard work. Their achievements are a reflection of their perseverance, the supportive environment at Leweston, and the comprehensive guidance offered throughout the application process.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Will and Jessica and eagerly await further news of their academic journeys.
