The morning started with a performance by the visiting cast, followed by a workshop in which our students were split into groups. In their groups they discussed the themes of the play, and dissected the elements which make it stand out or emphasise different characters or emotions. They then worked on warm up exercises and a section of the script, providing the students with a hands-on experience, allowing them to actively engage with the language, characters, and plot of Macbeth.
Having a live performance followed by a workshop was a great way to engage students with the material and enhance their understanding of the play.
Thank you to the Three Inch Fools for an interactive and memorable experience.
