OA Visits to give talk to Leweston Psychology Students

We were delighted to welcome back 2019 leaver, Jessica V on Wednesday 1 May. During her time as a student at Leweston, Jessica enjoyed studying Psychology at A Level with Mrs Hunt.

Mrs Hunt was thrilled to catch up with Jessica on her visit, when she gave an insightful and interesting talk to our current Year 12 and 13 Psychology students.

Jessica said:

“I studied at Leweston for 5 years, leaving in 2019 to study Psychology at the University of Plymouth. Afterwards, I spent a little time working as a support worker for adults with autism and learning disabilities and volunteering for GirlGuiding UK. I then made my best decision so far - joining a graduate scheme in Human Factors; it's a lesser-known scientific discipline that focuses on the human element of systems - involving elements of psychology, engineering, biomechanics and a pinch of everything else. I had a brilliant time chatting with the psychology a-level students about my journey and career and what they can expect in starting to look at university and job hunting - good luck to all!”
