Mary’s Rose Garden – A place of peace, prayer, and beauty

At Leweston, we see signs of spring all around our grounds, including the small but beautiful garden that honours Our Lady. Thanks to the Year 8 students, who as part of their Retreat Day back in September planted lots of bulbs, Marys Rose Garden is coming back to life after a long winter.

Furthermore, one of our extremely talented artists Liv V, Year 9, painted a stunning plaque that serves as a dedication to Mary and a reminder of faith, beauty, and growth.

The tradition of Mary’s Rose Garden is rooted in Christian devotion to the Virgin Mary. Gardens dedicated to Mary, often called "Mary Gardens," were planted with flowers and herbs symbolizing her virtues and life. These gardens are places of prayer and meditation.
