Mr Paget-Tomlinson met with Honor G, Year 12, to discuss her visit to Leweston's sister school, Jana Jyoti, and Honor and her peers' efforts to fundraise for Nepalese students.
Last October, a group of Leweston students travelled to our sister school in Nepal, Jana Jyoti, where they met with their pen pals, walked to local Gurung villages and played a variety of sports and games with the Nepali students. They then commenced their 5 day trek to Poon Hill where they reached the summit and took in the stunning views. When they arrived at Ghandruk village, our students were treated to a presentation by the prestigious ACAP organisation, learning about conservation efforts and sustainable tourism.
Honor (Year 12) met with Mr Paget-Tomlinson to look back on the trip and the various fundraising that students have carried out in order to support the school in Nepal and its students.
