On 26 March, Leweston joined students worldwide in celebrating World Maths Day, engaging in competitions, calculations, and the joy of mathematics under the theme Maths for Everyone.
Organised by Mathletics, this global event invites millions of students aged 5 to 18 to participate in live mathletics challenges.
This year, 228,958 students from 81 countries came together for the 48-hour online competition. These young Mathletes collectively answered over 53 million questions, demonstrating that maths is indeed a universal language that unites us all! Leweston students excelled, securing top positions on the leader board in various categories!

Leweston came 142nd out of 6,460 schools that took part in the world
Top Year 7 Leweston student – Annabel G – 54th in the country
Top Year 8 Leweston student – Tom P – 50th in the country
Top Year 10 Leweston student – Harry W – 6th in the country (he was in the top in the world for most of the day ending 151st)
Top Year 11 Leweston student - Isabelle W – 13th in the country
Top Year 12 Leweston student - Dylan R – 7th in the country
