Leweston students are, once again, celebrating an excellent set of A Level results.
Over a third of pupils receiving their results today received nothing but A* and A grades with well over half gaining at least one A* or A grade. Of the 24 different subjects taken, nine saw all grades at A* to B this included English Literature, Religious Studies, Music Technology and, once again, Fine Art, 3D Design and Photography.
Seven pupils received a very impressive 14 A*s and 5 As between them. Amongst this cohort are Will and Gracie with 3 A*s each and Honor and Molly who both gained 2 A*s and a A.
As a result, Will is going on to read Medicine at the University of Exeter and Gracie will be reading Biochemistry at King’s College. Before taking up her place at Edinburgh to read Geography, Honor is travelling to Leweston’s Nepalese sister school, Jana Jyoti, to spend time with the community there. Molly is joining the Army to work as a Geographical Technician before progressing to Sandhurst.
The university destinations chosen by our 2025 leavers reflect a rich and varied landscape of student ambition, spanning healthcare, psychology, environmental science, business, design, and digital innovation. Health-related courses like medicine and applied medical sciences remain strong choices for Leweston students but creative and tech-forward paths like music production, digital marketing, mixed reality, and sport media show a growing appetite for future-facing careers.
Mr Paget-Tomlinson, Headmaster commented:
