The squad, ranging from Year 7 to Year 12 with nearly every year group in between represented, travelled to Portland to compete against some of the most accomplished school sailing teams in the region. Conditions were demanding and the standard of competition was high, but the Leweston sailors rose to the occasion.

The standout performances came from two boats. Ollie and Scarlett took first place overall, while Freddie and Oliver finished in an impressive second place. Hamish and Nico provided excellent support throughout the event, and their consistent results alongside the top two boats were crucial in securing the team title for Leweston.

The victory is all the more remarkable given the calibre of the other schools taking part, and it reflects the commitment, teamwork and skill of the whole squad. It was also a fantastic example of sailors of different ages working together and supporting one another, with younger members of the team learning from and racing alongside older pupils.

Congratulations to all six sailors on a superb event, and thank you to everyone who supported the team. We look forward to seeing what the squad achieves next.
