Leweston leaver, Tim, reconnected with his passion for horse riding as part of his Sixth Form Enrichment (LEAP) in our new Leweston Chedington Riding Academy with Coach Kieran Higson.
Sixth form 2024 leaver, Tim, chose Equestrian Experience as his Sixth Form Enrichment Activity Programme (LEAP) where he gained hands-on experience handling and grooming as well as learning all about equine behaviour, anatomy, biomechanics, nutrition, day-to-day care, and the companionship and relationship you can develop with a horse. This inspired Tim to start riding lessons with our Riding Coach Kieran Higson, having previously taken lessons aged 10 and 13 at Pevlings Farm Stables.
Tim very quickly learnt a balanced trot and canter under Kieran’s guidance and shared that he found Mr Higson to be a great teacher, relatable, and made him feel comfortable and safe. Tim was paired with Freddie the horse, who is one of our larger horses for older students, and they have made a great pair.
