Capes, Crowns and Cross Country: A Spectacular Prep House Cross Country Day

From our youngest runners to our oldest, the children gave it their all, showing fantastic determination and effort as they ran for their Houses. Every pupil ran brilliantly, and each one collected valuable points for their House. Our medal winners deserve a special mention for their outstanding performances, and congratulations go to St Margaret, this year’s winning House.

The pupils were then joined on the course by their parents, who took on a 4km fun run to raise funds for ACTA 2 Alliance UK. The fancy dress was incredible, and the costumes brought plenty of smiles and laughter to the day. Our Head, Richard Thompson, ran the whole course dressed as a king, and said afterwards that he only managed to finish thanks to the children cheering him on with such enthusiasm. Their encouragement made a real difference, and we are very proud of the support they showed to every runner.

We were also delighted to welcome Andy Lovell, who spoke movingly to the school about the work the charity is doing and the story behind it. His words gave added meaning to the fundraising and reminded us all why events like this matter.

Thank you to all the pupils, parents, staff and guests who made Friday such a success. The community spirit on show was superb, and we are already looking forward to next year!
