Prep 4 pupils enjoyed a hands-on learning experience at the Ancient Technology Centre, engaging in activities related to their studies on Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
Prep 4 had a wonderful day at the Ancient Technology Centre! Our pupils took part in a variety of exciting activities such as building fences, sawing and splitting sticks for firewood, weaving on a loom in the Anglo-Saxon roundhouse, and playing Viking games. They also thoroughly enjoyed watching a fire demonstration in the Viking longhouse and then having their lunch around the crackling fire, which was followed by some impromptu singing!
The trip aligned perfectly with their Focus Projects this term—Anglo-Saxons and Vikings! They fully engaged in the activities, asked thoughtful questions, and embraced the day's adventure, highlighting their curious nature and making both their teachers and themselves very proud.
