7 Leweston pupils travelled to Blackpool to take part in the Blackpool Biathle.
The Biathle is a continuous Run-Swim-Run event with age groups from U11 to Masters, competing at various distances. This competition served as a qualifying event for selection for the GB Biathle team at the European Biathle Championships in Madeira.
The athletes showcased impressive performances against tough competitors. Congratulations to Elizabeth D (U11), Henry M (U13), Izzy K (U13), Jay C (U17) for earning spots on the GB team, with Josh H as the first reserve in the U17 category.
Their results were;
U11 Girls - Elizabeth D 7th
U13 Boys - Henry M 7th
U13 Girls - due to numbers they had heats and finals with all three Leweston pupils making the final. In the final Izzy K had a great race to take Gold, with Lara P 13th and Lexie C 14th
U17 Boys - Jay C 8th , Josh H 9th.
